The Full Story

My name is Shreyas Bulusu, and I am a BS/DO student at Marian University. I have been involved with the citizens of Mathare Valley through Light and Hope Initiative since I was 16, including recruiting volunteers, finding sponsors, and teaching various courses (healthcare and coding). Ever since, I have been dedicated to providing the resources that the children and adults of this slum need to be successful, and I realized that comes with increasing awareness of their lives. I am committed to gathering the various stories of not only the people of Mathare Valley, but across slums globally in an effort to provide the people greater healthcare access, educational resources, and happiness.
